WHERE DOES THE CRISIS LEAVE GLOBALIZATION?
Tuesday, February 16, 2010
7 p.m. in Bush 120, Rollins College
The financial and economic crisis of 2008-2009 originated in the rich economies but spread rapidly around the world, even to the poorest countries. In this lecture Alan Winters will offer an accessible account of how this happened and its consequences for economic welfare around the world. He will then discuss whether the crisis should cause us to re-assess our view of the virtues of globalization and focus policy attention more on domestic economic activity.

The talk is free and open to the public.
